Order of Humility · Anointed: Warden
The Carthusians tend old roads, timber boundaries, and the homes gathered around them. Hydra offered them quiet that left workshops closed and doorways barred through winter, strength that never had to make room at a crowded table. For a time the silence felt like order. They consented.
Repentance was clearing roads for neighbors first, and keeping kitchens and thresholds open. In the War of Closed Roads, foresters and masons defended paths and common stores. A defended door had to remain a welcome one. When peace came, their Vow was Humility: mistrust any glory that cannot clear a road, repair a roof, or make room at the table.
Warden carries the Carthusian Vow of stewardship. A tree is taken only when it opens a path, and every tree planted must make the next defense safer. Warden takes on the heaviest work without asking who saw it.
In the field
Warden. Warden can consume a nearby tree to restore Health, leaving a stump, or plant a Carthusian tree on empty ground. Each side may keep only two planted trees alive. The forest is the toolkit.
