Why async turn-based strategy
Put the match down mid-turn. Pick it up later. That is the whole idea. Also: why we say strategy and tactics both.
Live multiplayer is fine when both of you are free. Most days you are not. Crucible Wars is a match you can open between errands: spend Energy, move a few pieces, stop. Your rival goes when they can.
Strategy is the Orders and the long rivalry. Tactics is every turn: positioning, trades, when to recruit, when to push the base. Call it only one of those and you miss half the loop. Phone-sized. Not a 4X that eats the weekend.
Free to play
When store builds ship, Crucible Wars will be free to download. iOS coming; Android in progress. Until those links are real, this site will not fake them. How we fund the game later is still open. The match is the product.
The world on the site
The Field Guide, the Orders, and the lore art are part of the game. If a page still sounds like committee copy, tell us at [email protected].
Short version: FAQ. Longer notes land here when something actually changes.
